What started as a personal quest quickly turned into a movement. Founder Darren Portelli—living with visual snow and chronic migraines—wanted to cut back on meds and take control of his health. One thing he could change? What he drank. So he set out to reinvent soda. After years of experimenting, Darren found a way to use prebiotic root vegetables instead of refined sugars or artificial sweeteners. The result was a craft soda that tastes familiar but fuels the gut with fibre and functional botanicals.

Since 2016, Crazy D’s has grown from kitchen experiments and farmers’ markets to shelves across Ontario and beyond. Proof that sometimes, being a little “crazy” is exactly what it takes to create something better.
