Crofter’s Organic began with Gerhard and Gabi Latka, who grew up in rural Germany surrounded by good food and strong traditions. After a road trip across North America, Gerhard fell in love with the landscape and convinced Gabi to start fresh in Parry Sound, Ontario. In 1989, they bought a former laundromat, rolled up their sleeves, and began chasing their fruit-filled dream.

Today, Crofter’s is still family-run and based in Ontario, where they make a wide range of organic fruit spreads with the same dedication to flavour, quality, and sustainability that started it all. Their state-of-the-art facility reduces water use by more than 85%, while their playful bear mascot continues to remind everyone that the best spreads come from the juiciest fruit.
