With roots tracing back nearly 50 years, Fratello Coffee Roasters is more than just a roastery—it’s the story of a family shaped by coffee. What began in 1974 with Cam Prefontaine’s first venture, Fontaine Beverages, laid the foundation for a lifelong passion passed down to his sons: Chris, Jason, and Russ.

The brothers officially stepped into the industry in 1991 with Espuccino Imports, quickly becoming one of North America’s top espresso machine distributors. A few years later, they combined their ventures and vision, creating Fratello Coffee Roasters in 1997—a company committed to sourcing, roasting, and delivering some of the world’s finest coffee.

From partnering directly with producers to helping craft game-changing equipment like the Slayer Espresso machine, Fratello has always been about pushing boundaries. Their café concept, Analog Coffee, launched in 2011, brought their philosophy to life in the heart of Calgary.

Today, Fratello continues to focus on what they do best—roasting incredible coffee, building lasting relationships, and sharing their love for the craft with cafés and customers across Canada and beyond.
