Born on the laid-back shores of Hornby Island, BC, Hornby Organic started with one mom’s homemade recipe and a family’s belief that good food shouldn’t cost the earth. Founder Irah, inspired by his mother Trish’s beloved Hornby Island Energy Balls, grew up helping her deliver them to local shops — a spark that later became his life’s mission.

With his partner Cayleigh, Irah turned a small island garage into a thriving organic food business, handcrafting Canada’s first Certified Organic energy bar without raising prices for customers. Now based in Comox, Hornby Organic continues to make affordable, organic, gluten-free energy bars using simple ingredients and sustainable practices.

Still proudly family-run, Hornby Organic proves that when you put people and the planet before profit, everyone wins.
