Hygge Candle Co. started during the pandemic when founder Kayla Fichtenberg turned her love of candles into a small business. After learning how many store-bought candles were made with synthetic paraffin wax and hidden chemicals, she wanted something safer for her home (and her pets). That’s when she began making her own soy-blend candles — plant-based, long-lasting, and much cleaner to burn.

For Kayla, lighting a candle is all about creating that cozy, peaceful feeling — what the Danish call hygge. Each and every candle is hand-poured with care, made to be non-toxic and simple so you can enjoy the warm glow without worrying about what’s in the air. It’s local, clean, and made with love for homes that feel calm and cared for.
