Irving Oil

⛽ A Canadian energy company with more than a century of history serving customers at home and abroad.

Irving Oil is a Canadian energy company whose story began in 1924, when founder K.C. Irving opened his first garage and service station in Bouctouche, New Brunswick. Known for his dedication to customer service, Irving personally helped travellers fuel up at all hours, establishing a customer-first philosophy that would help shape the company for generations.

From its New Brunswick beginnings, Irving Oil grew into a major energy business headquartered in Saint John. In 1960, the company opened the Irving Oil Refinery, which has since expanded to become Canada's largest refinery, with a throughput capacity of more than 300,000 barrels per day. The company also developed an extensive network of fuel stations, terminals, and other energy operations.

Over the decades, Irving Oil has expanded beyond Canada into the northeastern United States and international markets, including operations in Europe. Despite its growth, the company's history remains closely connected to Atlantic Canada and more than 100 years of serving customers, communities, and travellers.
