Maison Orphée is a proudly Québec-based, family-run food company with over 40 years of expertise in crafting healthy, flavourful cooking essentials. Founded in Québec City in 1983 by Bernard Stier, the company began by importing premium virgin oils before becoming a pioneer in local production, acquiring Québec’s first seed press to produce organic virgin seed oils long before sustainability was mainstream.

Acquired by the Bélanger family in 1992 and now led by sisters Élisabeth and Élaine Bélanger, Maison Orphée has grown into Canada’s leading producer of virgin seed oils. Over the years, the brand expanded to include vinegars, mustards, vinaigrettes, and mayonnaises made with its own high-quality ingredients.
