Mitchell’s Soup Co.

🥣 Family-made. Hearty. Canadian.

It all began with Donna, the Lockhart family matriarch, who stocked up on dried goods before Y2K hit. When the world didn’t end, she turned her leftovers into something far better—handmade soup mixes sold at her local farmer’s market in Duncan, BC (originally at her soap stand, not soup!).

Fast forward to 2008, Donna’s son Jamie took over and turned the family’s small stand into something bigger — and officially launched Mitchell’s Soup Co. What started as a way to teach his kids life skills became a family business built on warmth, community, and delicious, nourishing food.

Today, Mitchell’s still makes every soup mix by hand, just like Donna did. From hearty chilis to comforting soups and stews, every bag is filled with real ingredients, made slowly and thoughtfully — because good things take time.

When the Lockharts teamed up with family friends, the Faris family, the business expanded east to Ontario, bringing even more families into the fold. Together, they’ve built something special — a company rooted in tradition, family values, and a shared love of real food made with care.

At Mitchell’s, every meal tells a story. It’s about family dinners, cozy nights, and connection around the table. From the original kitchen in BC to homes across Canada, they’re proud to make food that warms the heart as much as it fills the belly.
