Nehwo Maskwa Candles

🕯️ A Legacy of Love, Storytelling & Resilience

Nehwo Maskwa Candles is more than a candle company—it’s a tribute to family, culture, and healing.

Founded by Christina, a proud Cree and Métis woman, the name honours her son Tucker, who received the name Nehwo Maskwa (“Four Bears”) in ceremony, and her mother, whose 1981 story “Brother Bear” inspired the brand’s symbol.

Candle making became her path to financial independence and wellness—a way to create with purpose.

Each hand-poured candle is made using soy wax, clean ingredients, and eco-conscious materials.

Every detail, from the cotton wick to the packaging, is crafted with care, respect, and intention.

By supporting Nehwo Maskwa Candles, you're not just purchasing a wellness product—you’re investing in economic reconciliation and honouring Indigenous storytelling and strength.
