OG GHEE is the delicious creation by long-time friends Vresh and Thomas - two food lovers who met on a wild night in Montreal and bonded over a collapsing ping-pong table. What started as a goofy, impromptu adventure turned into a lifelong friendship (and eventually, a buttery business).

Vresh, a passionate home cook and Indian food enthusiast, moved to Canada in 2009 and quickly noticed something was missing—quality South Asian pantry staples made locally. Meanwhile, Thomas, raised on a blend of Dutch and Greek comfort food, rediscovered his love of cooking during the pandemic. When both were laid off from their day jobs, they teamed up to build flavourful, clean and locally made ghee.

Launched in 2022, OG GHEE is more than just clarified butter. It’s a love letter to South Asian culinary heritage—one that goes far deeper than “just curry.” With premium ingredients sourced close to home and crafted with care, OG GHEE is here to bring that bold, nostalgic richness back to your meals.
