oomé is a Canadian food company founded by Miki as a tribute to her late father and her Japanese heritage. Named after the Japanese plum blossom, a symbol of new beginnings, the company was born from a desire to honour cherished family memories while creating wholesome, plant-based food that brings people together around the dinner table.

Inspired by her father's love of smoking food and sharing meals with family, Miki transformed his smoker into the foundation of oomé after discovering there were few high-quality smoked tofu options available. The result is a flavourful, ready-to-enjoy smoked tofu made with clean, simple ingredients, making it easier for people to enjoy plant-based meals without sacrificing taste.
