Since 2012, SaltSpring Kitchen Co. has been serving up flavour-packed jams, preserves, and hot sauces from their jam factory on beautiful Salt Spring Island. What started with one spicy tomato spread at a local farmers’ market has grown into a full line of savoury, sweet, and spicy creations — all made in small batches, with real ingredients and bold personality.

Founder Melanie Mulherin brings her love of distinctive flavour and local food to every jar. Inspired by her family’s foodie roots and the preserving traditions passed down from her mother-in-law, she’s built a business that’s as thoughtful as it is delicious.

Today, SaltSpring Kitchen Co. is proudly woman-owned, offers living-wage jobs to a growing local team, and still makes every product on the island — so you can feel good about what you’re spreading on your sandwich or serving on your charcuterie board.
