Yahk Soap & Candle Co. is a warm, down-to-earth Canadian brand rooted in Yahk, British Columbia, where good stories, handcrafted products, and community pride all come together. What began as Tammy’s small-batch skincare company and a life spent in emergency services transformed into a shared dream: running a locally loved soap shop in the heart of the Kootenays.

Tammy and Bryce first met working in emergency services, trading directions and good-natured jokes long before they traded city life for mountain living. After years of building Tammy’s natural skincare business and moving through Saskatchewan and the Kootenays, they realized it was time to pursue their final goal — building something meaningful in a place they loved.

In 2017, they purchased the original Yahk Soap Shop and Two Scoop Steve, giving both spaces new life. They expanded the shop into Yahk Soap & Candle Co., added a cozy soup-and-sandwich bar. Today, the business blends handcrafted soaps, candles, and natural body products with the charm of a true roadside gem — all run with heart, humour, and unmistakable Kootenay spirit.

From small-batch ingredients to community connection, Yahk Soap & Candle Co. is a testament to following your path, embracing change, and creating something that feels like home.
